The Old Man Speaks...

Let's see, for this entry perhaps just a list of what is on my mind would be good. It might increase the chance of at least SOMEthing getting posted by me.

• I've been given a firm date for my eye surgery: 04 Dec 2008 @ 0730. SCARY!!!
• I am now less than 12 months from the end of my DTRA tour (if I don't, or can't, extend). SCARY!!!
• My son drives...everywhere...all the time...and he likes it. SCARY!!!
• My daughter is going to be an actual teenager in only a few days over three months. SCARY!!!
• Kieran has (We have) been filling out reams and reams of college application and financial assistance paperwork. SCARY!!!
• My Thrift Savings Plan has lost a nearly 37% of its value since 31 Dec 2007. SCARY!!!
• The weather is getting cold, fast...they say this is going to be an especially harsh winter. SCARY!!!
• I have my annual Russian language tests coming up in a few weeks. SCARY!!!
• People at Church keep assuming I know what I am doing, just because I am in the Bishopric. SCARY!!!
• The Church trusts me to handle and account for the Lord's funds. SCARY!!!
• Angelina is going to kill me if I don't publish something to our blog this week. SCARY!!!
• I am preparing for my next trip...going to Romania, going to visit Dracula's castle. SCARY!!!

There are at least another seven things that are really scary to me right now, but I think I will perhaps keep them to myself for the time being. There IS something known as TMI, particularly in such a public forum. That will have to be all for now... More later...
